✨ About the festival
String Week is an intensive course for string musicians of all levels and ages, with masterclasses, concerts, chamber music and more, in an international and inspiring atmosphere.

🎶 2nd edition of the festival under the artistic direction of Erzhan Kulibaev
🎓 Specialties: Violin, Viola, Cello.
🎯 Objectives

This course is for you if:

  • You want to grow as a musician with support from great teachers.
  • You are looking to play in real concerts alongside your teachers.
  • You need to prepare repertoire for competitions and record it.
  • You want to surround yourself with young musicians with your same desire and passion.

And also:
  • Individual lessons with international pedagogues, focused on personal goals: competitions, concerts, auditions, professional development.
  • Possibility to perform in concerts, both with solo repertoire and chamber music ensembles.
  • Concerts and performances by faculty and students.
  • Listener access to all classes.
  • Special guest lectures.
  • One piano accompanist, one rehearsal with the pianist.
  • Practice rooms available during the festival period.
  • Certificate of participation.
  • Optional activities: excursions*, recordings*.
  • Cultural exchange with musicians from different regions and countries.

👨‍🏫 Faculty
The faculty consists of internationally renowned artists who share their experience with excellence, warmth, and inspiration, offering participants a unique opportunity for musical growth at the highest level.
  • Violín
    Award-winning violinist in competitions such as the Wieniawski in Poznań, the Manhattan Competition in New York, and the Berlin Competition. He has performed as a soloist in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Bastille Opera in Paris, and the Mariinsky Theatre, collaborating with conductors such as Gergiev, Ashkenazy, and Vengerov. He combines his international career with teaching in Madrid and Valencia and gives masterclasses around the world.
  • Violín
    A violinist who gave her first recital at the age of eight, she has performed across Europe, Latin America, and Canada. A former student of the Reina Sofía School of Music, she is currently a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid.
  • Cello
    Finnish cellist, graduate and current teacher at the Sibelius Academy. A member of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, he is also the founder and artistic director of the Helsinki Chamber Music Festival, as well as a composer and arranger.
  • Olga Vaganova
    Viola
    Laureate of international competitions, artistic director of Viola Festival "The sound of Viola", invited artist of MusicAeterna, head of Orchestra Department Russian Gnessin academy of Music, docent.
  • Elena Frutos
    Piano

Every day:
09:00–14:00 — Individual classes, camera.
14:00–15:00 — Break
15:00–19:00 — Classes, rehearsals
19:30 — Concerts or lectures (depending on the day)
